This year’s Paju Provence Light Festival gets under way under a new theme: Tales from a Beautiful Wonderland Told in Luminous Light. Beautiful fairy tales unfold across the 1,500 pyeong venue at Provence Village, which is also home to the largest light tunnel (400m) in Korea. The festival sets itself apart by reproducing scenes from lovely fairy tales with characters from different stories incorporated into each scene. A gorgeous castle from the Little Mermaid is depicted with dolphins swimming by, and the largest wave illumination show in Korea dances a waltz to light and music. In terms of technical aspects, the Provence Light Festival uses 5 million LED lamps – a product of cutting-edge technology – to produce and express various scenes. This is a display of advanced technology never before seen in Korea. We ask for your support and interest in the Provence Light Festival, which took an entire year to plan and three months to build.
