The first day of October is already upon us. The year 2015 only has a couple of months left. How was your 2015?

There are plenty of festivals waiting for us in October. Spend your autumn at October festivals across Gyeonggi Province. ^^

The month of October is packed full of fantastic festivals! Introducing all of them would take up too much time so I’ll take you to a few festivals that Yours Truly (‘dalkomsimin’) would like to visit. If you’d like to find out more about other festivals not covered here, please check out the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization’s website!

Goyang Autumn Flower Festival

Goyang City brings you the Goyang Autumn Flower Festival during the first week of October. Enjoy all that autumn has to offer with Goyang’s beautiful lake serving as a spectacular backdrop.

This event aims to be a flower cultural festival that satisfies our senses with autumn gardens full of autumn flowers such as chrysanthemums and sunflowers as well as through various events including flower markets and activity programs.

Let’s go enjoy the fragrance of autumn flowers together!

Daehanminguk Makgeolli Festival

Frankly, this makgeolli festival is the one that I have been looking forward to the most in October ><

See rare alcoholic beverages from across the country in one place!

As long as you have a glass in your hand, you can try different types of makgeolli from across the country for free at the Daehanminguk Makgeolli Festival! You can enjoy rare makgeolli products including ‘jat’ (nut pine) makgeolli, ‘tongil’ (unification) makgeolli, ‘yuja’ (yuzu) makgeolli, ‘ssal’ (rice) dongdongju, ‘bam’ (chestnut) makgeoli, ‘deodeok’ (root vegetable), ‘kong’ (bean) makgeolli, ‘bokbunja’ (raspberry) makgeolli, ‘ssal’ (rice) makgeolli, and ‘goguma’ (sweet potato) makgeolli with your eyes and taste buds.

Let’s get tipsy together at the Daehanminguk Makgeolli Festival ♡

Anseong Machum Namsadang Baudeogi Festival

Since I’ve already introduced the Anseong Namsadang Baudeogi Festival before, I’ll skip it this time.

Events tied to the Anseong Baudeogi Festival offering plenty of prizes are available through Gyeonggi Province’s (Korean) Facebook page! Read some of the blog posts and leave your answers in the comment section. The winner will receive a mirrorless camera, so check out the information on the Namsadang Baudeogi Festival.

Guri Cosmos Festival

Every October, the Guri Cosmos Festival gets under way when cosmos flowers cover beautiful Guri Hangang Park.

With fluttering cosmos flowers blooming all along the riverside, it’s a great chance for a walk along the river or a ride on your bike to feel the cool river breeze. Guri Hangang Park features bike roads, streamlets, trails, and a grass lawn which makes it perfect for spreading a mat on the ground and spending some quality time with your loved ones.

Enjoy the cosmos flowers and take some great pictures in the cosmos field ^0^

Everland Halloween and Horror Nights!

Throughout the month of October, an ultra-scary Horror Nights event awaits you at Everland~

Enjoy your Halloween with cute little ghosts during the day and spooky zombies at night!

Blast the lingering heat away on the tail-end of autumn with Everland~

I’ll be back with information on autumn foliage festivals across Gyeonggi Province in my next post! Have a great October in Gyeonggi Province!
