On August 7, the Gyeonggi Metropolitan Environmental Management Office launched the “One-Stop Visiting Environmental Consultation Service” for companies seeking to locate in an industrial complex.

The Regional Environmental Management Office explained that the one-stop service differs from the existing consulting, which focuses on whether or not a new tenant company is licensed, in that it provides guidance on the whole environment, including the management and operation of emission and prevention facilities for water and air. The office expects that this will reduce the time it takes to process complaints.

This new consulting service operates in nine cities: Suwon, Hwaseong, Ansan, Pyeongtaek, Siheung, Paju, Gimpo, Osan, and Anseong.

Consultations are being conducted on-site from 10:00 to 15:00, once a week by region, from August 7. They have been held every Tuesday in Gimpo at the Gimpo Industrial Complex Management Corporation, every Wednesday in Ansan and Siheung at the Sihwa Branch of KIPCO’s Gyeonggi Regional Headquarters, every Thursday in Suwon, Hwaseong and Osan, every Friday at the Hwaseong Industrial Complex Management Office, every Friday in Pyeongtaek and Anseong at the Pyeongtaek Branch of KIPCO’s Gyeonggi Regional Headquarters, and every Tuesday in Paju at the Paju LCD Environmental Safety Council.

Kim Sang-cheol, head of the Gyeonggi Metropolitan Environmental Management Office, said, “Through this environmental consulting service, we will be able to provide a range of environmental information and quickly resolve company difficulties in operational processes as well as environmental licensing in the stages of entry,” adding, “It is expected to enhance the competitiveness of businesses and realize a trustworthy Gyeonggi Province.”
