Drivers may move to other cities or provinces without the inconvenience of changing their car license plates. 
According to the Ministry of Construction and Transportation (MOCT), national license plates omitting the 16 cities and provinces including Seoul and Gyeonggi-do will be used starting next year and the final format has already been arranged. 
The new license plate will keep the original color and array, but no regional mark will be indicated and the size of letters will be enlarged about 50% than the current size. 
With the national license plate, drivers may notify their moving-in (out) and the new address only, because the car network will be linked with the resident registration network.
