Due to the inflation in the world economic environment Gyeonggi-do has attained a 20 million dollar export contract by actively supporting overseas marketing for small and minor business.

Through on/off-line overseas marketing for e-Directory business, the province has captured the niche market for e-Trade. Marketing strategy of seeking potential buyers on-line and distributing booklets and CDs off-line has obtained excellent results.

The “Active e-Directory Export Business” is a project that lists favorable products made by minor manufactures within the Gyeonggi region on CDs and booklets and distributes them via airmail to foreign buyers identified on-line.

A strategy, called Direct Marketing, is operated simultaneously by regularly sending C/Ls (Circular Letters) by E-mail. After a year of this service, orders from overseas buyers have increased and actual export transactions have risen.

Especially the Gyeonggi Internet Trade (GIT) Center, which has opened since’99, about 700 companies have increased export transactions every year. A participant of the “e-Directory Production & Distribution Project”, Panwest has concluded a 6.2 million dollar export contract with a Canadian buyer.
