– Gyeonggi e-Business Workshop 2004

Gyeonggi-do will hold an “e-Business and Corporate Competitiveness” “workshop at the Gyeonggi SMB Center’s International Conference Room between November 25 and 26.

The workshop aims to help SMBs located in Gyeonggi-do by suggesting new market expansion strategies for e-business to heighten corporate competitiveness, as firms suffer gravely from the domestic economic recession and high oil prices.

Recent changes in foreign exchange rates have added to the difficulties that SMBs are experiencing, and this workshop hopes to guide them through a successful business path in new international trade environments.

The workshop will focus on e-Trading, which is at the heart of e-Business. Main program topics will be the “Effects of FTAs and e-Trading countermeasures,” “Strategies for overseas 2-promotion and superior buyer discovery,” “Market trend survey and analysis using various trade information/statistics websites,” and “Joint-purchase strategy for materials.”

Three SMBs that made an entry into overseas markets with help from the Gyeonggi Internet Trade Center and an e-Business-oriented productivity boost will be studied in detail through the presentation “Successful e-Trading Examples.”

“Group Discussion on e-Trading” program will allow SMB representatives, civil officers, and experts to come together to share their ideas on e-Trading vitalization.

The “Gyeonggi-do Export Support Information” presentation will feature the outcome of export support business from 2004 and explore business prospects for 2005. The workshop participants will be able to relieve their curiosity about the province’s SMB export support business through the “Export-related Agencies: Q&A” program.

Supplementary events such as “e-Biz Lecture for College Students” and “e-Biz Training for Civil Officers” will also be included in the workshop.
