Gyeonggi-do Museum Runs a Special Class
Gyeonggi-do Museum will be hosting workshop for children planned by Centre Pompidou from Grand Palais, Paris, between January 7 and February 18, 2005.
Former studios of Matisse and Picasso, who are considered as the two masters of the 21st century modern painting, are recreated. The exhibition is designed in a workshop format to allow the visitors to enjoy an art education program in five studios each focused on line, form, light, shadow, and application.
In connection with the workshop, the museum will open “Culture School for Handicapped Children” where students will be able to learn about the works by Matisse and Picasso.
Culture School for Handicapped Children will be run between 1:30pm and 4:30pm every Thursday. It will feature special programs such as Matisse/ Picasso Drawing Class, Making Signature Session, Photographing Souvenir Sticker Session, and the Museum Tour. There will be no fee charged to the children, and students will be provided with basic learning materials including drawing kits and pamphlet stickers.
Registration will continue online at the museum’s website (www.musenet.or.kr) until December 31, 2004.
