Presentation for the 3rd World Ceramic Biennale in Daegu

Gyeonggi-do and World Ceramic Exposition Foundation will jointly host a presentation for the 3rd World Ceramic Biennale (April 23 – June 19, 2005 at Icheon World Ceramic Center, Gwangju Joseon Royal Kiln Museum, and Yeoju Ceramic Livingware Gallery) at the Daegu EXCO on April 1. 

The event is planned to heighten the public awareness and encourage participation by introducing the Biennale in connection with Daegu International Tour Expo to the culture, tourism, and art industry personnel from Daegu and Gyeongbuk area. 

Gyeonggi Provincial Governor Sohn Hak-kyu and Secretary General Nam Gi-myeong as well as the foundation officials will take part at the presentation to inform the attendee about the exhibition and academic programs in detail. 

At the event site in Daegu, a number of attractions such as Ceramic Wheel Spinning, Percussion Performance, Ceramic Durumak Performance, and Fan Signing by Actor Jeong Jun-ho are prepared for the public. 

On a separate note, the 3rd Daegu Tour Expo will be held on March 31 through April 3. Some 120 tourism-related organizations and companies from 30 companies will run 200 booths as they participate in this event of international exchange and marketing. The Expo was first launched in 2003.
