– Resulting in $12 million worth of contracts and $670 million worth of discussions 

The Gyeonggi Provincial Office said that it, jointly with KOTRA, held Latin America Week at the KSBC (Kyeonggi Small and Medium Business Center), inviting buyers from that part of the world and made a total of $12,816,000 worth of contracts and $677,144,000 worth of discussions. 

At the event, 67 buyers from Brazil, Columbia, Venezuela, Guatemala, Peru, Mexico, Panama, and Chile were engaged in business discussions with 200 SMEs in the Gyeonggi Province. 

Lafien located in Hwaseong, for one, made $600,000 worth of discussions on air/fuel/oil filters with Comercial Ecomotor of Chile. Sukjin located in Ansan made $200,000 worth of discussions on suspensions and brake parts and agreed to talk further with the importer who expressed interest in its goods at an exhibition scheduled for next month in Bogota, Columbia. 

This year, the Gyeonggi Provincial Office will have another export road show toward importers of information technology-related goods in Southwest Asia on June 1 plus one toward importers in Russia and CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) on June 23.
