Provincial representatives pursue medical support agreement & joint research on agriculture

 

Gyeonggi Province’s work to provide medical care in Vietnam has been gaining attention.

The province announced on May 23 that the medical support project at Ha Tay Province, jointly sponsored by the delegation headed by Jeong Chang-seop, Deputy Governor of Administration Department 1, and the Medical Support Team at Ajou University will serve as the foundation for enhancing exchange and cooperation between the two regions.

The Medical Support Team (led by Professor Hong Chang-ho) consists of 5 doctors, 1 pharmacist, 1 physical therapist, and 2 social welfare specialists, and will provide voluntary medical treatment at Vietnam until May 28.

The provincial delegation and Ajou University Medical Support Team left Korea on May 21 for an 8 day mission, with the goal of establishing a medical support agreement and education & regional development agreement with Ha Tay province of Vietnam and Campot Province of Cambodia.

Through meetings with officials at the Vietnam Ministry of Agricultural Development, Gyeonggi Province agreed to pursue joint research in the agricultural field, and joint technological cooperation in the future.
