(Published July 24, 2012)
The 4th Korean Beauty Design Expo will be held at KINTEX in Ilsan from October 12 to 14 under the theme of ‘Beauty Design as a Future Industry’. Approximately 150 businesses will participate in the expo, which will also feature diverse sub-events, contests and seminars in seven different fields.
Gyeonggi Province will host the 4th Korea Beauty Design Expo 2012 / Beaudex 2012 (hereafter ‘Beaudex’) from October 12 to 14 at KINTEX in Ilsan. In order to provide an opportunity to develop these high-value, new growth industries and raise awareness of the beauty design industry, this year’s Beaudex event will launch an exhibition for Korea’s principal beauty businesses, and emphasize the exhibition’s targets of specialization, expansion, and globalization.
Centered on China, Japan, and Southeast Asia, the exhibition will feature makeup, fragrances, hair equipment, nail art, tattoos, and other diverse beauty-related products in 300 booths from around ten different countries. In addition, some 50,000 buyers and visitors are expected to attend the expo during the exhibition period.
Furthermore, beauty contests will be held in seven different categories (hair, makeup, nails, wigs, skin, eyelashes, and scalp), and will include seminars and forums led by invited makeup and beauty specialists. There are also plans for performances and a makeup convention, which will play host to representative societies and businesses specializing in hair and makeup and offer hair trend and body painting shows and product presentations where the latest beauty trends can be seen.
Distribution buyers will also attend the exhibition to provide one-on-one business consultations as well as opportunities for sponsoring domestic beauty companies to enter overseas markets. Also, support will be provided for domestic businesses struggling to manage their staffing requirements: in order to provide more opportunities for women and address youth unemployment, one-on-one recruiting consultations will take place on site, and a recruitment expo will be held. Cosmetic companies will be able to use unmanned booths to promote their products efficiently without the need for staff or unnecessary expenses.
Businesses in the beauty industry planning to actively participate in the Korea Beauty Design Expo have until August 24th to register. Detailed information is available on the exhibition website (www.beaudex.co.kr). There is no entrance fee, and attendees can register online in advance via a simplified, easy-to-use on-site registration process.
