The Free Aviation Training Academy program will be conducted at the usual venue of the Gyeonggi Ansan Air Show 2012 as a pre-event for this year’s show, which is scheduled to begin on October 3. Participants will learn about the basic structures and principles of aircraft throughout the program.
The local government announced on August 14 that the administration of the Gyeonggi Ansan Air Show will offer ten aviation training classes per pupil on two separate occasions in August and September to young children.
The Aviation Training Academy will hold classes on aviation theory and the process of becoming a pilot using video materials. The students will also learn how an airplane is made and how each model differs.
The training will be provided free of charge, excluding the educational material costs (KRW 3,000 for children aged three to six; KRW 8,000 for children aged seven to nine; KRW 11,000 for children aged ten to twelve).
The first registration period will be until August 30th. Visit the Gyeonggi Ansan Air Show’s official site at www.skyexpo.or.kr. Please note that each of the two classes is intended for a maximum of thirty students by order of registration. Classes will be held from 10:00 to 14:00.
An agent of the Aviation Department remarked, “Children will enjoy receiving hands-on experience of aviation. This is a great opportunity for any budding pilot.”
This year marks the fourth edition of the Gyeonggi Ansan Air Show. The event will take place at Gyeonggi Techno Park in Sa-dong, Ansan City for five days from October 3rd to 7th. For tickets and information, please visit Ticket Link at www.ticketlink.co.kr or the event’s official website at www.skyexpo.or.kr.
