The 11th Gyeonggi International Travel Mart (GITM) will be held for three days from November 8 to 10 under the theme of  “Travel… Where The Excitement Begins.”

The G-Tour Festival GITM with domestic and overseas travel products will provide more travel information for visitors and industrial business opportunities than any other year.

The 11th GITM this year will include a business program inviting buyers from Korea as well as overseas, and a briefing session of travel products. CEOs of ten travel agencies in China plans to be invited to run a one-on-one business consultation between local governments and the tourism industry. A briefing session of travel products by a representative travel agency in Korea will support product development of local governments.

Moreover, the GITM will also offer the Tourism MICE (Meeting•Incentive•Convention•Exhibition) Job Festival in collaboration with online employment portal Job Korea, with on-site employment interviews and career consultations.

Furthermore, Korea’s leading travel agencies such as Hanatour Service and Hanjin Travel will also participate in the event to match the reputation of Korea’s biggest comprehensive travel mart, offering customized consultations and selling products for three days at special prices. Products for recreation forests, pensions, luxury hotels and Sanchon Ecology Village will be offered by reservation at discounted prices on site in preparation for the winter season.

Gyeonggi Province will receive reservations during the event for some rooms of the accommodations in four recreation forests in Gyeonggi: Gapyeong Gangssi-bong Peak, Namyangju Mt. Chukryeong-san, Yongin Recreational Forest, and Pocheon Mt. Cheonbo-san. Lodging products by 19 pensions in Yangpyeong as well as by Namyangju glamping companies (Bongseowon) where SBS Healing Camp is being filmed will be provided for visitors at special prices.

There are other attractions such as the experience center to reserve and experience the programs of 17 companies certified as excellent travel programs in Gyeonggi, and the exhibition of ‘Two Lines’ in celebration of the 60th anniversary of DMZ. In addition, there are opportunities to obtain the newest information on travel as well as unique trips to all over the country.

“The GITM has now become the gateway of travel, crossing over Korea and the world beyond Gyeonggi Province,” said Hwang Jun-ki, President of Gyeonggi Tourism Organization. “We will make this year’s event an exhibition that will satisfy the travel industry as well as the travelers who feel the romance of travel.”

Gyeonggi International Travel Mart (GITM) is hosted by Gyeonggi Province, supervised by Gyeonggi Tourism Organization and Gyeonggido Tourism Association, and sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Korea Tourism Organization, Korea Tourism Association, and Korea Culture Diplomatic Mission.

The entrance is free of charge, and a small gift will be provided for visitors who register on site before entrance. More details are provided by the official website of GITM (www.gitm.or.kr).
