Gyeonggi Province will support the participation of youths from low-income families in the summer program of the Gyeonggi English Village Paju Camp.

Consisting of a 4-week intensive course and 2-week short-term course, the program will take place from July 28 to August 22 this year.

The province plans to select 43 students enrolled in grades 3 through 8 in cooperation with the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education, the Childcare and Youth Policy Division, the Inter-Korean Cooperation Division, and the Child and Youth Division. All expenses including tuition and accommodation will be fully covered for the selected recipients.

The program will include: a creative musical presented by native English-speaking teachers; role play to learn situational English expressions and vocabulary in a classroom set up to reflect different settings such as a police station; and job experience in fields such as news production, cooking, acting, and other performing arts to facilitate career exploration and self-development among the participating students.
