An event celebrating the 15th Gyeonggi Venture Entrepreneur Day took place at the Gyeonggi Small and Medium Business Center (GSBC) on the afternoon of December 10. The event aimed to strengthen ties between businesses, identify and reward outstanding businesses, and inspire entrepreneurship.
Approximately 300 guests participated in the event hosted by the Gyeonggi Venture Business Association. Attendees include Gyeonggi Province Governor Nam Kyung-pil, Gyeonggi Small and Medium Business Administration (SMBA) Head Seo Seung-won, Gyeonggi Venture Business Association President Lee Gang-il, Korea Federation of SMEs Gyeonggi Branch Director Jeong il-hoon, and many entrepreneurs.
Governor Nam presented awards to 13 businesses including Dawon Chairs, an office chair producer, for contributing to the activation of venture businesses, and to Professor Kim Im-soon of Kwangwoon University for meritorious efforts.
In his congratulatory remarks, Governor Nam said, “Venture entrepreneurs with a pioneering spirit for the future are patriots and the hope of Korea. China has outdone us in some areas including mobile phones. We can, however, create opportunities in adverse situations. Through stable governance, Gyeonggi Province will help venture entrepreneurs, who embrace the future and challenges despite unfavorable conditions, go into China and the world.”
