Sir Seo Seong (1558-1631), a civil officer in the mid Joseon period, passed the Byeolsi Mungwa (special examination) in the 19th year of King Seonjo’s reign. He served as Byeongjo Jwarang (assistant chief to the Minister of Military Affairs). He was Byeongjo Jwarang Gyeonggi Gamsa by the meritorious service of saving the prince and the ministers in Hamgyeongbuk-do during the Japanese invasion. He guarded King Injo during Jeongmyohoran (Manchu invasion in 1627) and Yi Gwal’s Rebellion. His tomb is surrounded by stones to protect it. There are a pair of Muninsok (stone statue), a pair of Mangjuseok (stone statue), 1 epitaph, 1 Honyuseok (stone statue), Sanseok (stone statue) and a pair of Hyangroseok (stone to put incense burner) here.
