Gyeonggi-do plans to activate tourism in fishing villages by placing four new fishing vessels, each 10 tons and 35 tons, in Jeongok Harbor and Oido Harbor. These vessels were supported for construction last 2001 through 2002.

As the number of people from the city come to enjoy fishing, Gyeonggi-do is promoting to provide income to fishermen from other than fishery when there are no fish harvesting. Starting from 1999 to 2002, the province invested working expenses of 12.8 billion Won to fishermen in Ansan , Siheung , Hwaseong and other districts in Yeonan City. This investment is to support the construction of 63 fishing vessels of varying from 3 to 35 tons. These vessels are bringing up to an annual income of 20 to 30 million Won.

The 35-ton advanced fishing vessel to enter service is equipped with ultramodern navigation equipment, pleasant guest rooms, VIP rooms, observation platform and various convenient facilities. Up to 4.4 million visitors visit Jebu-do, Daebu-do and other islands located along the western coast. These visitors experience marine leisure such as delicacies of the fishing district, Hwaseong Palgyeong, sea fishing and visiting tidelands.

The fishing vessel will be operated twice on weekdays (13:30, 16:00) and three times on rest days (11:00, 13:30, 16:00). Adult fare is 11,000 Won and children are 6,000 Won and also navigation course starts from Jeongok Harbor, passes through Ippado and then returns to Jeongok Harbor. Total course takes 2 hours.

In addition, the refreshing ocean scent from the observation platform and also the beautiful western sea scenery and the setting sun from aboard.
