Gyeonggi-do Agricultural Research & Extension Service will hold the “Gyeonggi Agriculture Vision 21″workshop for 2 days, starting on July 11. Total of 130 people will participate, including researchers from the Agriculture Technology Center, leading public service workers and experts in agriculture.

Through this workshop, programs to expand agricultural studies will be searched for by discussions on practicing agricultural research and educations on how to uplift agricultural science and technology R&D operations.

Programs include special lectures and discussions on 「21 Century Competitive Organization Aim」”Gyeonggi Agricultural Research Development and Competitiveness Improvement Strategies”.

Research and discussions covering 15 fields to establish and devise research plans for 2004 will also prepared.

The director of the Gyeonggi-do Agriculture Technology Center said, “Without the development of the agriculture field, Korea will never accomplish in becoming an advanced country. Needs for overcoming defeatism and defensive attitude is required to advance farther. A new strategy is required to subjugate our agriculture crisis.” He also stressed that acknowledging the agricultural field as a new life industry, bold investments and rationally development strategies will help fulfill the goals of this vision.
