Gyeonggi-do will discuss a five year plan and specific strategies to promote the development of science technology in the province, efficient propulsion plan for 2004 and other matters with industrial research professionals 

To materialize these plans, a workshop for about 20 science technology policy professionals from various social circles, such as universities, research institutes, political and educational circles and other fields, will be held on Sept. 16 at 2 p.m. in the Gyeonggi Small & Medium Business Center. 

The purpose of the workshop is to establish a basic outline for R&D fields, training distinguished human resources, promote science technology culture and other matters to fit the province’s peculiarities according to the central support system lead by the province for the current importance and demands of science technology. 

Important matters to be discussed at the workshop are the operation system for researchers, discovering bio-clusters, support and reform strategies, regional characteristics and development of specialized research projects and promotions on advanced science technology culture. 

In addition, a detailed enforcement plan will be made through discussion on new projects involving currently undergoing inspection on various R&D projects and searching for efficient plans, scholarship and training activities to educate science human resources and other projects.
