Deputy Prime Minister Jin-pyo Kim Introduces Foreign Capital Inducement in Korea

Deputy Prime Minister and concurrently the Finance-Economy Minister, Jin-pyo Kim has explained Korea’s efforts to induce foreign capital at the East Asia Economic Summit, held in Singapore on Oct. 14. 

Deputy Prime Minister Kim stressed the need for labor-management reformation, improvements in foreign investor environments, exteriorizing the goal to make Korea the center of physical business in East Asia and other matters through his speech on agreeing to hold the East Asia Economic Summit next year in Korea. 

Kim met the Deputy Prime Minister and concurrently the Finance Minister of Singapore and discussed economical cooperation on accomplishing matters such as FTA between the two countries and outstanding questions of Korea’s economy was outlined by the foreign news talk. 

The East Asia Economic Summit is held every year to discuss main questions within the area with the World Economic Forum. About 600 including the Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong of Singapore, King Hussein of Jordan, Prime Minister Hun Sen of Cambodia has attended the summit and about 20 Korean guests including the president of S-Oil has attended the meeting.
