Gyeonggi-do recovered its position as the no. 1 export region in Korea from Ulsan City. 
According to the list of main import and export items by the Suwon Customs Office on Mar. 18, export amount made in Gyeonggi-do during last Feb. was 3.55 billion dollars, which takes up 18% of total national export during the same period and also topping all other regions. 
Export on almost all items except semiconductors and textile has increased by 19% from last month. 
Especially the large increase on export of automobiles (+35%) and home appliances (+29%) have put Gyeonggi-do top on the list once again. 
Import amount during Feb. was 3.52 dollars, which was 20% of total national import and making Gyeonggi-do the second largest importing region next to Seoul. 
Even though import on grain, alcohol, gold, clothes and steel has reduced greatly than last month, import on crude, machinery, precision machines and nonferrous metals have increased by 13% from last month. 
Key export items such as automobiles, semiconductors and info-communication equipment has also increased by 66% from last month due to the increase of manufacturing facilities. 
Therefore trade balance for Feb. has left a black mark of 29 million dollars.
