CEO business exchange between Gyeonggi and Gaungdong Provinces

o Meeting with about 130 CEOs of major nationalized enterprises from Gaungdong Province on April 8 

Large number of CEOs (Chief Executive Officer) who leads reformation and makes efforts into opening the Chinese society were invited by the Gyeonggi Provincial government to attend the a business meeting with Gyeonggi-do CEOs at the Hotel Castle on Apr. 8 , from 6 PM to 8:30 PM. 

Representatives from each province including Hak-kyu Sohn (Provincial Governor of Gyeonggi-do), Li Bin (Chinese Ambassador to Korea) and Yong-duk Kim (Graduate School of Int’l Studies, Seoul National Univ.) and also 23 CEOs from main industrial business and about 100 minor enterprises in Gyeonggi-do that are interested in starting business with Chinese companies are expected to attend this event. 

A government official of Gyeonggi-do said this event is part of a larger project to create a better business environment in Gyeonggi-do for enterprises. This opportunity will unite Korea and China as mutual economic partners rather than competitive rivals. 

He also added, “The Gyeonggi-do government will positively support enterprises within the Gyeonggi area to advance into the Chinese market and unfold business beneficially. 

Guangdong Province holds 38% of China’s total trade and 27% of foreign direct investment. As the center of China’s economy, 3 of the 4 economic zones, Shenzhen , Zhuhai , Shantou are located within the province.
