After coming back from a successful IT business trip to the US, the Gyeonggi provincial government continued holding business talks on home ground with 195 domestic companies and by inviting about 660 overseas buyers. 

According to the government on May 2, 25 small and medium IT related manufacturers who have the knowledge and technology but lack human power, information and financial status have had business talks with companies in Chicago and Washington DC, America and Toronto, Canada, for 10 days until the 28th of last month. 

Through the talks, excellent results of about 525 million dollars worth of consultations and about 84 million dollars worth of contracts were signed. 
Company F from Gyeonggi-do, which manufactures cellular phones, contracted to sale 33,000 phones to Company N from Washington, a company that has exclusive sale license for 3 countries in Africa. 

Local buyers shown great interest in Korea’s IT industry. 
To increase exportation, the provincial government plans to strengthen international competitiveness and periodically hold business talks in America. Plans to advance into the Chinese market are also being planned. 
During a 2-day export, Apr. 28 and 29, overseas buyers were invited to meet up with about 170 domestic companies and 42 buyers in Korea. 

During this period, IT products were priority subjects of talks with buyers from the Middle East and Africa, resulting in achieving contract amount of 20 million dollars and consultation amount of about 79 million dollars with 130 domestic companies. 

A major enterprise from Oman, company K has visited Korea to select a 2nd mobile communication business and import large demands of cellular phones. This company has promoted a contract worth about 2.6 million dollars with company D from Gyeonggi-do. 

European buyers from Germany and other European countries were also invited and held export business talks on auto parts. 

As a result of negotiations of about 40 domestic companies, the event has greatly contributed in achieving 53 million dollars worth of bargains, and about 14 million dollars worth of contracts. 

Most of the European buyers were CEOs and purchasing officials who hold the flow of money of their companies.
