Gyeonggi Province will host a photo festival, gathering photos that portray how it feels to live harmoniously in Gyeonggi Province. From October 13 (Thursday) to October 20 (Thursday), the Good Morning Gyeonggi Photo Festival 2016 will take place!

The venue for this festival is none other than the Gyeonggi Good Morning House.

What makes this event special is that it is an outdoor photo exhibition.

By exhibiting photos in outdoor spaces and along the surrounding walking trails, it will be the first photo exhibition in Korea to be hosted exclusively outdoors!

With the theme of ‘Starlight in the sky, one heart’- representing the desire for harmony, sharing, and communication among the people of Gyeonggi, mixed with the aesthetic element of light – this photo exhibition will feature a wide range of attractions from across the province. What sort of photos can we expect to see?

First, ‘Focus on Gyeonggi’ looks for photos that capture special moments of Gyeonggi Province.

Send us images that capture the unique beauty of Gyeonggi Province including its environment, culture, cities, and nature (scenery). Send in images that can represent our province.

Second, ‘The Best Moments in Gyeonggi’ looks for photos that capture the best moments (persons, activities) you wish to preserve in photos.

The best moments in life you want to share with others. These are the precious and valuable moments only photos can preserve. Send in moments from your wonderful life depicting, love and farewell, pain and recovery, and other precious meeting moments. These moments are better when shared with others.

Third, ‘The Next Gyeonggi’ looks for photos that capture Gyeonggi Province with a professional eye.

It would be great if you can send in photos of moments in your life depicting where you do your best for a better and brighter future. Show us how people in different facets of society including our homes, schools, and workplaces are working hard for their futures. Those moments will be the future that will greet us tomorrow.

Fourth, ‘All Together Gyeonggi’ looks for stories of our people that are just settling into new lives in Gyeonggi Province.

Gyeonggi Province is a place where a society of harmony and sharing is being created, transcending cultural differences, ideological conflicts, and regional disputes. Send us photos (people, scenery, everyday life) that tell us your story of settling into your second home in Gyeonggi Province or the unique culture and history from your original homes.

Photos submitted under the four themes above will be judged impartially four times. Upon review, the winner of the Good Morning Gyeonggi Province Award (grand prize) will receive KRW 3 million, the winner of the Good Morning House Award will receive KRW 2 million, the winner of the Good Morning Happy Award will receive KRW 1 million, the winner of the Good Morning Communication Award will receive KRW 500,000, and winners of the Good Morning Smile Awards as well as Participation Awards will receive invitational tickets to cultural and art events.
