A Family Tour Where Nature and Education Meet (Two-day tour course)

Family Tour

My son, the most precious thing to me, Daddy has prepared a short journey for you.
Let’s go to Treasure Paradise full of nature and culture.

Family Tour MAP

I started out on a journey with my beloved family members. My little son quickly fell asleep in the car as he had to get up earlier than usual. The car already arrived at Soraesan (Mountain) after driving as if pushed by a cool breeze. I explained to my wife and son about the famous Buddha engraved in a rock in Soraesan (Mountain) when we arrived, we enjoyed a forest bath. After lunch, we visited Changjo Natural History Museum. The boy liked the dinosaur model inside the museum. I looked around the museum with a kind conductor. Next, we visited the celadon kiln site at Bangsan-dong, which is a national historic relic. A well maintained historic site appeared when we arrived there on a path winding through the wood. The historic site traces resemble my heart’s smile. We soon arrived at Siheung Gaetgol Ecological Park after driving on a paved road. My wife liked it. It must be because she can enjoy this wide open place after staying at the apartment. Three of us felt like we became doctors when we looked around reading the information boards describing things such as the characteristics of a basin wetland.

Family Tour

I sat behind the wheel of the car for a long time and I started to feel hunger in my stomach, so we went to a restaurant. Oido (Island) makes us recall roasted shells and handmade noodles with sea food. We sat around a table at the window side overlooking at the calm sea and ordered roasted shells. The sun sets while the shells are roasting.

I didn’t hear my wife and son calling me, because I was so overwhelmed and fascinated by the wonderful scenery. My son enjoyed the roasted shells very much though it was his first time. ‘Tell your own story to your son about this later.’

I was quite happy to see the boy enjoying the food. We decided to order one bowl of sea-food noodle to taste it although we were quite full. Oido (Island) is surely full of taste and affection. We stayed the night at a clean model in a nearby Wolgot estuary. The cool sea scent entered into the room when I opened the window in the following morning. After a simple breakfast, we visited a traditional Korean tiled house called Saenggeumjib and Seonghwangsa shrine site at Gunjabong.

I explained to my wife and son about these tourist destinations stealing information from the tourist guidebook. But, my wife soon requested for the guidebook as well. We departed heading towards north in order to visit Ganghuimaeng seonsaeng myo (Tomb).

I carried my son on my back as the slope was a little bit too steep for him. We spent our leisurely time enjoying the scenery as the graveyard has a well-maintained landscape on a hill not too high. On the way down the slope, we visited Lotus Theme Park and Gwangokji.

We were full of exhaustion, but after sitting around a table with a cup of lotus tea, we were revived. On the way back home. My wife and son fell fast asleep. As I drove continually, I couldn’t stop thinking about the exciting memory. Treasure Paradise Siheung, I thank you so much!
