As the interchange and cooperation between Gyeonggi-do and China is giving shape, CEOs of major enterprises located in Guangdongsheng, China are gathering in Korea to receive economical training. 

The Gyeonggi-do government announced on Feb. 22, “After successfully setting up a fund between the two regions and fulfilling the construction of traditional parks during provincial governor, Hak-gyu Sohn’s visit to Guangdongsheng, China, last Oct. 2002, mutual cooperation in various fields including economy, education, sports and youth programs are beginning to materialize. A business council will visit Guangdongsheng and Shandongsheng, China for 5 days, starting Feb. 23 to actualize cooperation affairs.” 

First the government will relay domestic educational institutions and enterprises with CEOs of about 20 major companies located in Guangdongsheng and that have visited Gyeonggi-do last month to learn about the Korean economy. 

Educational institutions include Seoul National Univ. and corporate in-service training will be entrusted to Samsung SK and other companies. 

Trainees include 25 CEOs from national enterprises and major companies in Guangdongsheng. These trainees will receive courses on economy, management and trade for 40 days, starting Mar. 14. Training on improving strategic management formulation, analytics and decisiveness and also business management, international management, brand management, human resource development, international commercial law and other programs will be provided by Samsung SK. 

Taking this opportunity, the Gyeonggi-do government will establish a ‘Chinese Business School’ and take charge of training enterprise interested in advancing into the Chinese market and also Chinese enterprises interested in the Korean market. 

In addition, conclusion of an agreement of interchanging buyers and corporations on regional exhibitions list the 1st Auto Parts Show, Gyeonggi Products Show and other exhibitions scheduled to be held in Gyeonggi-do and also the Int’l Exhibition on Shoes & Leather Industry and other shows to be held in Guangdongsheng, is expected to be finalized soon.
