Overseas jurors nominated for the ‘Int’l Travel Souvenir Design Competition 2005 Korea’

The Gyeonggi provincial government and Gyeonggi Tourism Organization (GTO) (president Kim, Jong-min) announced on May 10 that 3 overseas jurors were nominated for the International Travel Souvenir Design Competition 2005 Korea. 

The three nominated jurors representing each region are, Mr. Peter Zec (products field), president of ICSID (International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes); Mrs. Patricia Dandignac (industrial arts field), editor of ‘American Craft’; and Mr. Fukuda Shigeo (visual art), president of JAGDA (Japan Graphic Designers Association Inc.). 

Among the total 5 jurors, 2 Korean juries will also be selected in July. 
This event is to find excellent tourism product designs and promote them with distinguished technology within the province to make tourism products with international competitiveness. 

After the preliminary (Oct. 6, 2004 – Oct. 8, 2004) and final evaluation (Feb. 2, 2005 – Feb. 4, 2005), 30,000 dollars will be granted to the grand winner, and 15,000~5,000 dollars will be awarded to gold, silver and bronze winner. 

Award-winning artworks will be displayed in KINTEX (Korea International Exhibition Center) April, next year. (Information: <031>259-6927)
