– Event summary: The 4th Bokjeong Festival of Lights gets under way from November 1, 2015, to January 11, 2016. A variety of glamorous and delightful features including large trees, misty lights, a tunnel of lights, and a photo-zone will light up the Bokjeong-dong area and add to the end-of-year Christmas spirit. Kicking off with a lighting ceremony on November 1 (Sunday), the 4th Bokjeong Festival of Lights will also host four mini concerts and art exhibitions every weekend to help turn the festival into a melting pot of culture and art. Since the first event was held under the slogan ‘Bokjeong-dong becomes one with light and love’, the 4th Bokjeong Festival of Light has established itself as a landmark event of Seongnam helped with funding from Seongnam City and the Seonhan Mokja Methodist Church, as well as participation from the Bokjeong-dong residents’ association, Bokjeong-dong traders association, Seongnam City Cultural Foundation, Gachon University, Dongseoul University, and the Seongnam Market Revitalization Foundation.
