Tour de DMZ 2017

The Tour de DMZ 2017, an international cycling race, will be held from September 2 to 6 in the DMZ area and border line area.
Hosted by Gyeonggi Province, the Ministry of Interior and Safety, Incheon Metropolitan City, and Gangwon Province, and organized by the Korea Cycling Federation, the race is divided into the 2nd International Junior Road Cycling Tour, the Ganghwa Cycling Tour, and the Korea Cycling Federation Masters League.
The Tour de DMZ 2017 2nd International Junior Road Cycling Tour is the only international youth cycling competition in Asia. Participants will depart from Goyang City in Gyeonggi Province on September 3 and cross the counties of Yeoncheon, Hwacheon, and Injen in Gangwon Province, to reach Goseong County on September 6. Running east to west, it is a 403.5 kilometer-long race in which 150 youth cyclists of 25 teams from home and abroad will participate.
The Tour de DMZ 2017 Ganghwa Cycling Tour and the Tour de DMZ 2017 Masters League are held for Korean cycling enthusiasts.
Beginning on September 2, the Tour de DMZ 2017 Ganghwa Cycling Tour, in which all bike enthusiasts can participate, will be held on a 69.6 km course that runs from the Asiad Stadium in Ganghwa County and passes through Gyodong Island. Approximately 1,000 people will participate in MTB Road and Road Cycle Categories.
Starting next year, the Ganghwa County area will be officially included in the course of the International Junior Road Cycling Tour, and the race period will be extended from the previous four days to five days, according to the organizer.

The Tour de DMZ 2017 Masters League will be held on the same course after the departure of the participants of the International Junior Road Cycling Tour on September 3. This 3-day event will run from Goyang City in Gyeonggi Province to Inje County in Gangwon Province (357 km) by September 5.
