This international specialist exhibition of the marine leisure industry, hosted by Gyeonggi Province since 2008, has grown to become one of the top 3 boat shows in Asia. This year, the 4-day 2018 Korea International Boat Show will be held from May 24 to 27 at Goyang’s KINTEX and Gimpo’s Ara Marina.

On the occasion of its 11 anniversary, the exhibition will showcase the latest trends in the marine leisure industry, both at home and abroad, while offering rich and varied events.

Of particular note, the experiential events held at the Gimpo Ara Marina during this exhibition are expected to garner considerable interest. With events such as sailing experiences, “Becoming a Smart Boat Owner,” and a boat show commentary service, this year the focus is on events in which beginners and boat-lovers can easily learn and experience marine leisure while having fun.

In addition, experiential events such as a marine safety experience, a marine culture experience, and a kayaking/funboat ride will be on the program along with various other events including survival swimming lectures and free diving lessons. Finally, rarer events will also be held starting with a luxury tuna carving demonstration, underwater drones and racing, and a Marine Look Fashion Show.

The 2018 Korea International Boat Show will occupy a total area of 60,400 m2, growing by 3,000 m2 compared to the previous year, with 35,000 m2 in KINTEX and 25,400 m2 at Ara Marina. There will be 1,705 booths featuring 270 companies as well as buyers from all over the world. This year, the marine leisure job fair will also be held simultaneously on May 24.
