Beginning at Sihwa Lake Eco School, the trail circles the island, providing ecological learning experiences for families with children. This trail starting from Baegun Lake in Uiwang and connecting the ridges of Moraksan was the path that Confucians of the ancient Joseon Dynasty used to take to go the capital to take state examinations. The trail extends along the Stream of Citizens, an eco-friendly artificial stream that recycles effluence from the nearby sewage treatment plant. This is a path where you can enjoy serenity and relaxation on a quiet lakeside. The path is famous as one of the best driving locations and trekking trails. It passes Mulwang Reservoir and Botongcheon Stream, and extends along farming roads that were formed about 300 years ago. Lush tree-lined paths guide you to Gaetgol Eco Park, the ending point of the path. The 22-meter-high Wave Observatory in the park commands a panoramic view of numerous salt warehouses, which are traces of vast salt farms of the past.
