Gyeonggi Province and the Korea Broadcasting Commission (KBC, currently Korea Communications Commission) agreed to build the Digital Broadcasting Content Production Center within the Hallyuwood complex in Goyang. The Production Center is intended for domestic broadcasting companies to produce and air programs at lower costs. 

The KBC and Gyeonggi Province signed the agreement and exchanged an MOU at the large conference room of the KBC at the Korea Broadcasting Center in Mok-dong, Seoul on Feb. 13. According to the agreement, Gyeonggi Province will provide a site for the construction of the Production Center within the Hallyuwood complex at an appropriate price, while the KBC will construct the Center for it to play a leading role in developing the broadcasting content business, a growing industry for the future. The two parties also agreed that they would work together to set up and operate a close cooperative system through general administrative procedures for the successful construction of the Production Center. 

The Production Center will be constructed on a total floor space of 23,456�� with eight floors above the ground and one basement level on the site of 9,380�� within Zone 3 of Hallyuwood. The building will be equipped with the HD content production and broadcasting facilities in preparation for the switching to the digital broadcasting. The Production Center will also house seven studios, including two large studios, 660�� each, and four medium-sized studios, 330�� each, and one virtual studio of 200��; four editing rooms, two recording and dubbing rooms, 15 instruction rooms, and the HD broadcasting center which can air 30 channels simultaneously.
