2018 Art Gyeonggi invites artists in Gyeonggi Province to submit their artworks by June 24.

Art Gyeonggi is a contest organized by Gyeonggi Province to boost the domestic art market and support the exhibition and sale of works by artists active in the province.

Any artist (over 20 years of age) who has taken part in one or more solo exhibitions or group exhibitions can participate in the contest by submitting works in any genre of the visual arts such as two-dimensional and three-dimensional visual art, handicrafts and new media.

Works will be selected on June 29 through a two-step screening process. The selected works will be exhibited and offered for sale in sequence from July 4 to November 30 at contest exhibitions to be held at Bella Citta in Goyang City, at Avenue France in Seongnam City, and at travelling exhibitions in 8 other cities and counties. The works will be also introduced to the public through various art programs and events such as an art market, an occasion of cultural exchanges.

All proceeds from the sales of works will go to the artists, who will also receive training to support their activities. Exceptional artists will be given the opportunity to participate in a special section of Art Asia 2018 in November.
