Paju is a city located in the northwestern part of Gyeonggi-do. With the Military Demarcation Line to the northwest, Paju borders Gaeseong and Jangpung-gun, Hwanghaebuk-do of the Democratic People’s Repulbic of Korea. Panmunjeom is located in the vicinity where the Armistice Agreement was signed as well as Tongil-ro and Jayu-ro roads. To the west, it faces Gimpo with the Hangang River as a border. To the south and east, there are Goyang and Yangju respectively. It borders Yeoncheon-gun to the northeast. After the Korean War, it became a frontline military city of the capital region.
Gimpo is at the center of the Korean Peninsula, Connecting South and North Korea as well as the inland areas and oceans of the country. It is also the world’s only city on the border of a divided country, boasting optimal conditions for creating a peace culture.
Goyang city is becoming one of the 21st century’s representative cities in korea that Is based on time-honored history and tradition. It is a famous with international Flower Foundation, and becoming the center of international trade through multi complex of culture and trade-international General Exhibition.
Yangju City is located in the northern part of Gyeonggi-do, with Pocheon to the east, Seoul and Uijeongbu to the south, and Goyang and Paju to the west. Yangju, located in the central part of Northe Rn Gyeonggi, is a time-honored city with rich Traditions, 600 years of history, and a great Variety of tangible and intangible cultural Properties.
Hanam, which is growing into a Dongducheon is a city in the northern part of Kyunggi province, South Korea. Pocheon in the east, Yangju in the west and south, and Yeoncheon in the north. It is about 47 km north of Seoul city center based on city hall. Located in the northern part of the Republic of Korea, it is an important city to compensate for the defense plan. For this reason, the USFK has been stationed since the Korean War, and will be phased out from 2004 to the first half of 2016
Uijeongbu City is the economic and cultural center of the northern region of Gyeonggi Province. Jungrang Stream runs through the center part of the city while Mt. Surak stands tall in the east and Mt. Dobong in the west. The city is 81.59km square measures. From 1995 the population increased by 38% and is predicted to increase by 28% reaching a population size of around 500,000 people. .
Pocheon is in the middle of the Korean Peninsula. The climate seems to be an average between the northern and southern regions. Pocheon was called Mahol-gun (or Myeongji-gun) in Goguryeo when it was the land of Baekje and Goguryeo dynasty. It was named “Gyeonseong-gun” during the reign of King Jinheung in the Silla Dynasty and “Cheongseong” during the reign of King Gyeongdeok. It was called “Poju” in the early Goryeo dynasty and Pocheon in the early Joseon dynasty.
The numerous tributaries of Gapyeong-cheon and Jojong-cheon that snake around the valleys of these mountains all flow into Bukhangang (Riv.). To the south, Jungmisan, Hwayasan and Jeongnaksan mountains form a mountain range that extends to Yongmunsan and to the west, the mountain range continues on to Jugeumsan and Chuknyeongsan.
Namyangju is located in the northeastern area of Gyunggi Province, bordering on Pocheon-gun in the north, Gapyeong-gun in the northeast, Yangpyeong-gun in the east, Hanam City and Gwangju-gun in the south, Guri City and Seoul in the west, and Uijeongbu City in the northwest respectively.
Guri is also a beautiful riverside city. The Hangang River flows through the city, and Wangsukcheon and Jangja Lake Park are located in Guri. The city is proud of its naturally blessed scenery of mountains and rivers where its residents live in harmony with nature in this garden city.In addition, this city is a crossroads for transportation. Many transportation routes cross in Guri. The Jungang Line Railway has recently re-opened along with the opening of Subway Line 8.
Hanam, which is growing into a sub-center of the metropolis in the 21st century, is located adjacent to the east of Seoul and in the center of Gyeonggi-do. it is a livable city existing in harmony in a pleasant natural environment with Hangang River, which begins at Yangsu-ri where Namhangang River and Bukhangang River meet each other, flowing from the east to the west of Hanam, and Namhansanseong Fortress, which is located to the south of the city.
Bucheon City in the Republic of Korea is a vibrant cultural metropolis where modern arts such as comics, film, and music come alive. Bucheon is the proud home of the Bucheon Philharmonic orchestra, Korea’s top orchestra, and the Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival, which is filled with love, fantasy, and adventures. Bucheon is also known as the “comics city” since many comics and animations are produced there.
Gwangmyeong, once a satellite city of Seoul with 150,000 residents in 1981, has become one of the most promising city in Korea, with the population of 350,000. Now, Gwangmyeong has become a major traffic point leading to everywhere in the country based on the Gwangmyeong KTX Station, which is gearing to serve as a heart place for transportation and distribution in preparation for the united Korea.
As the center of south-western Metropolitan area in the West Coast, Siheung is not only a garden city with comfortable residential districts but also a marine industrial city that perches at the center of Western Industrial Belt, which links Incheon International Airport and Pyeongtaek Harbor. Geographically speaking, Siheung is within the 30 kilometers radius of Seoul downtown area and Gimpo and Incheon International Airports.
Anyang is located south east of Seoul. The city has developed along the mid- and upper Anyang Stream, which is a branch of the Han River. Industry and farming were built up along the Anyang Stream as the water was used for industrial and farming purposes. The area feeding the Anyang Stream has become home to many people.
Gwacheon is a beautiful and peaceful community that maintains harmony with nature.On behalf of the public officials of Gwacheon, I pledge our best efforts to produce positive change and bring new features to Gwacheon.
Ansan has an active economy that is home to Ansan Smart Hub, a high-tech industrial complex with more than 10-thousand companies and 200-thousand employees. Ansan is also a beautiful eco and environment-friendly city with two very popular tourist spots, the island of Daebudo and Sihwaho Lake, where more than 180-thousand birds from 129 species live.
More than 800 public servants of Gunpo City and I are pursuing affairs of city under the philosophy that “the citizens are the masters”, as well as lowering of the door steps of the City Hall in order for our citizens to approach us more comfortably and easily.
Uiwang is the cleanest and purest city in the Seoul Metropolitan Area. The city boasts abundant forest resources such as Baegun Mountain and Morak Mountain, lake parks such as Baegun Lake and Wangsong Lake, and various leisure facilities. Located in the center of the Seoul Metropolitan Area, the city function as an important traffic hub, linking seven cities together.
Seongnam City is equipped with high-tech information industry complexes like Pangyo Techno Valley, Yatap Valley and Uirye Medi-Bio Valley, and is the hub of Korea’s high tech industries and research. Moreover, the city is putting in a lot of efforts to preserve our ecology, and it focuses on being an environmental-friendly city where nature and human beings coexist in harmony. In addition, it is a city of culture and arts where various performances and exhibitions are hosted all year round.
While the Iron Age (the proto-three kingdoms period implication) developed on a full scale, the numerous small country was valid in the Korean peninsula central southern part area and these organized three Han States.
Hwaseong City is located on the southwest coast of Gyeonggi Province, the Midwest region of the Korean Peninsula, and it borders with 7 cities on land, It borders by sea with the Port of Pyungtaek on the West Sea. It borders Chungchungnam-Do and faces Seongamdo Island and Daebudo Island bordering with Ongjin District to the west.
The city combines urban communities, agricultural fields and industrial sites. With the completion in the new millennium of the Shihwa Industrial Site, Daebu Tour District, the West Sea land reclamation project, and the development of Pyongtaek harbor, Osan has the potential to function as a power, distribution, transportation, and information center for the southern capital area.
Pyeongtaek City is located in southern Gyeonggi-do in central-west South Korea. It covers 457.46 km², an area two-thirds of Seoul City,and it has a population of 450,334 (as of the end of December 2014).It has an average annual precipitation of 1,350 mm, an average temperature of 13℃, and a 42.62km coastline, giving the city huge plains.
Anseong locates far south of Gyeonggi Province, adjacent to Pyungtaek on west, Ichon on northeast, Cheonan on south, and Yongin on north. National road #38 with 4 lanes is crossing from Pyungtaek to Kangwon Province, and Kyungbu & Jungbu highways are crossing north to south on west and east side of town respectively.
Yongin is a city in the middle of Gyeonggi Province. Icheon city to the east, Suwon city, Uiwang city and Hwaseong city to the west, Pyeongtaek city and Anseong city to the south, and Seongnam city and Gwangju city to the north. There are three general districts: Kyeongin-gu, Giheung-gu, and Su-gu. The city hall is located in Samseong-dong, Some of the attractions are Everland and Korean Folk Village.
Gwangju has been growing toward becoming a dynamic city with high citizen pride by continuing rapid growth as the leading city in the metropolitan area. Furthermore, Gwangju will put all its energy into taking advantage of the future with a variety of visions and strategies to keeping up with the rapidly changing value of the times such as globalization, informatization and localization.
Our city Icheon is readily accessible from all directions by conveniently located in the nation’s transportation hub, and equipped with optimal conditions for establishing businesses. It is also well known as a city for mixed environment of both city and rural sides by having a cutting-edge technology company presence like Hynix Semiconductor Inc. and local specialty products such as the nations’ top grade rice, porcelain, peaches, cornelian cherries, and more.
