On February 9th, a man in his 40s killed two men in their 30s in the apartment above his in Myeonmok-dong (면목동). The next day, another man in Mok-dong (목동) set the residence above his on fire, injuring six persons. All this occurred because they were irritatedthe noisethe homes above. According to a survey of 20-year-old apartment buildings, moving a chair can generate noise of 42 decibels,the use of a vacuum cleaner can be as noisy as 46 decibels.

Babysitting services are providedvisiting childcare assistants for parents who both work during the dayhave children3 months to 12 years of age. The Gyeonggi Provincial Government increased this year’s babysitting service budget57% to make the service available to more working couples.
4) Application at Regional Public Offices
Applications are received at regional public offices throughout the year. The regional HealthFamily Support Center must then be contacted to discuss the service utilization schedule at least 24 hours before the servicerequired. Available service hours may vary depending on the status of the applicant.

Service fees are charged at a rate of KRW 1,000 to KRW 5,000 per hour depending on the grade of entitled support,may be paid directly to the childcare assistant.
