The provincial athletic team achieved impressive resultswinning the overall national championship for a 10th consecutive year with 160 gold, 155 silver165 bronze medals. There were 384 homeless people living without homes in Gyeonggi Province, according to statistics in October. Without proper accommodations, the bitter cold of winter threatensonly their comfort but also their lives.
2) Dream Shelter / Suwon Station (December 14th)
Gyeonggi Province built a temporary shelter – named the “Dream Shelter” – next to Suwon (수원) Station for the homeless,has spent KRW 200 million to relocate the homelessSuwon Station to this shelter. This 211-square-meter shelter features sleeping facilities for 30 persons as well as livingkitchen facilities.
