The advanced transportation technology of Gyeonggi Provinceattracting interestneighboring countries. Officials of a Philippine regional authority, who have been benchmarking Gyeonggi Province, visited Korea to study the transportation tem of the province. Thistheir second visit since last February.

Officials of the Metro Manila Development Authority of the Philippines visited Gyeonggi Province to study the advanced traffic tem of the province.
2) Transfer of Traffic System Know-how
These officialsthe Philippines toured traffic tem facilities in Gyeonggi Province to see firsthand the operation of various elements of the traffic tem. When the know-how of a number of key traffic tem components – such as an integral transfer discount temreal-time bus information tem – are transferred to Manila, it will considerably improve the transportation tem of this densely populated city.

4) MOU on Development of Traffic System in the Philippines between Gyeonggi ProvinceMetro Manila Development Authority (February 28th)
Last February, Gyeonggi Provincethe Metro Manila Development Authority signed an MOU on the transfer of traffic tem know-how for metropolitan transportation in the Philippines. Mutual exchanges between Gyeonggi ProvincePhilippines for the establishmentimplementation of a transportation tem are also expected to contribute to the enhancement of cooperative relations between the two nations in other fields such as English language educationtourism.

University student volunteers spent three days in Namhansanseong (남한산성), an ancient mountain fortress in Gyeonggi Province, working to preserve this historical monument. Such volunteer activities remind people that the preservation of cultural heritagethe responsibility of everyone.

During the three-day camp, students participated in cleaning along the fortress wallsin the repair of the Rural Palace.

Title 3. 12-Year-Old Discord on School Site Acquisition Cost Sharing Ended (0704-1)

The Gyeonggi Provincial Government, the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Educationthe Gyeonggi Provincial Council resolved differences in their views regarding school site acquisition cost sharing, which has been a persistent thorn among the public bodies for the past 12 years,agreed to cooperate with each other on this issue. This breakthroughthe first success of its kind in Korea,itexpected to have positive effects on the resolution of similar problems in other citiesprovinces.

Cost sharing in school site acquisition has been a persistent issue that remained unresolved between Gyeonggi Provincethe Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education for the past 12 years due to their conflicting viewpoints.
2) Mutual Cooperation Agreement
Recently, however, the Gyeonggi Provincial Government, the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Educationthe Gyeonggi Provincial Council finally agreed to cooperate with each othersigned a Mutual Cooperation Agreement on school site acquisition cost sharing.

Based on this agreement, Gyeonggi Province will transfer a total of KRW 1.93 trillion to the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education2021, starting with KRW 21.36 billion this year. An additional transfer plan for KRW 227.9 billion will also be drawn up for the relief of oversized school classes in accordance with the results of the official interpretation of related lawthe Office of Legislation

1) Gyeonggi Province Social Enterprise Presentation Meeting for Youths / Gyeonggi Small & Medium Business Center (July 5th)
A presentation meeting was held for potential young entrepreneurs to promote their interest in social enterpriseshelp them find new opportunities in the field of social welfare.
2) Promotion of Interest in Social Enterprise among YouthsPresentation of New Social Enterprise Models
This meeting was organized for the purpose of promoting interest in social enterprises among young members of social welfare clubsactivity groups with the long-term prospect of their involvement in the development of new social servicesthe inauguration of social enterprises.
3) Social Services linked with Social Enterprises
During the presentation meeting, a variety of social enterprise fields were introduced as opportunity areas in which young workers can maximize their capabilities. In addition, possible social service projects that can be interlinked with social enterprises were presented.

5) Cultivation of Young Social Entrepreneurs
The Gyeonggi Province Social Enterprise Support Teamcurrently supporting 21 business inauguration projects for the promotion of the establishment of social enterprisesyouths. Support for these particular business projects has been entrustedthe Korea Social Enterprise Promotion Agency.
6) KRW 11.2 Billion Budget for Social Enterprise Support
Gyeonggi Province has set aside KRW 11.2 billion to support the inaugurationoperation of social enterprises as well as preparatory businesses for their growth into social enterprises. The provincial government will also work closely with public institutes, large enterprisesuniversities to communicate ideas behind the establishment of social enterprisesto continuously provide support for their operation.
