On August 7, the Ministry of Environment revised the regulations of the waste material administration law letting grass clippingsgolf courses to be reused.
Grass clippingsgolf courses were once classified as workplace waste materials, of which disposal was costly.
Last September, golf course CEOs in Gyeonggi had an informal gathering to request permission to recycle grass clippings. Gyeonggi province has reflected on this proposal in its recommendation to the Ministry of Environmentfinally revised the relevant regulations.
Now each golf course would be able to save between $5,600 dollars to $12,000 dollars each year.
This will probably reduce waste disposal expenses$1.2 million dollars locally$3 million dollars nationally each year.
2. Home-coordination, A Blue Ocean Employment Strategy for Women
Women have gathered seeking a new start as ‘Home-coordinators.`

Gyeonggi has opened the ‘Home-coordination’ training courseed about 70 unemployed women within the province to take the course.
Participants will receive Job trainingpractice onsite for three months.

3. Pleasant Learning with IPTV Study Rooms

5. Career Camp Fully Prepares for Job Openings
Gyeonggi province arranged a three day career camp for people looking to get a job.
Thisthe site of the 3 day 2 night career camp.
In order to increase the employment rate, Gyeonggi has arranged the camp on the 20th targeting 100 job seekers who are members of the Gyeonggi job placement portal site,“intoin.”
Career camp starts at 8am, firstdetermining career paths, then through resume writingself-introductions. Lastly, it ends with a crash course in leadership.
On the second day, trainees learn about the career portal sitethe recent trends in job openings.
There was a quiz tournament asking questions about employment.
Trainees were also taught how to convey a good image to recruitershow to deal with difficult interview questions.
On the last day of the camp, trainees had a simulating job interview. Actual corporate recruiters rated the trainees,the interview included presentations, discussions,English interviews.
Gyeonggi also hoped this camp offering specialized career programsexperiences would help job seekers’ secure employment.
6. Gyeonggi-grown grapes won international recognition
Here at the Grape Export Council, situated in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi, grapes raised under the burning sunsummer long are now wrapped up for delivery.
Gyeonggi has exported 173 tons of grapes last yearis planning on exporting over 300 tons this year.
More than half of the exported grapes were raised in Hwaseong.
One of the biggest traits of Gyeonggi grapes are their quality. They undergo tests for pests180 thorough pesticide residue inspections.
So far, the countries exporting Gyeonggi grapes include the US, Japan, Taiwan, Vietnam,Hongkong.
After September, when exports expands completely, Gyeonggi will start overseas promotion to advertise Gyeonggi grapes.
Grape exports may be key to the sales of Gyeonggi’s agricultural products worldwidein solving the financial insecurity of farms.
7. Faster 119 Service in Gyeonggi

The Gyeonggi Fire Headquarters started the 119 automatic reporter tracking tem last month, utilizing air photos for the first time in Korea.
With the existing tem it takes longer to find the addresslocation following an abstract image. However, this new automatic tracking tem uses a real picture to search, making the reporter’s location easier to track.
Consequently, 35 fire stations in Gyeonggi are now able to handle emergency situations swiftlypay full attention to the safety of its residents.
