Participant Recruitment for English Golden Bell Quiz Contest and K-POP Contest

Change Up Campus Paju (formerly Gyeonggi English Village), which has been remodeled as an open platform for cultivating future talented individuals, holds “Practical Trade English Camp” with foreign buyers.

On October 24, Gyeonggi Province announced that it would hold the camp, which has been designed to provide educational support to job-seekers and start-up applicants who are interested in the import-export field, for three weeks from November 13 to December 1.

To meet new educational demands, its curriculum focuses on practical task performance skills in English by involving participants in business meetings and export conferences with foreign buyers rather than learning English in classrooms.

Camp participants attend business meetings with foreign buyers from Vietnam and Indonesia, which are the largest ASEAN markets, and from the emerging Myanmar market while receiving training in business English including presentation skills as well as brochure and contract preparation.

Participants will also have opportunities to participate in export conferences between Korean companies and foreign buyers to experience actual trade processes and acquire necessary practical skills.

The buyers, who are experts in distribution, design and start-up support, will operate in groups of three to four to provide training.

The camp is open to all job or start-up applicants in the field of overseas sales who reside in Gyeonggi Province and are able to communicate in English (Required English level: TOEIC 780, TOEFL iBT 88, TEPS 619 or above).

Those interested can submit their application forms via e-mail (lej@stemi.re.kr) along with their resumes and letters of self-introduction from October 18 to November 3.

All tuition fees are supported by Gyeonggi Province. For more information, please contact the Change Up Campus English Education Office (031-956-2115) or the ASEAN Business Center (02-529-6151).
