Recruitment for Gyeonggi-China ‘International Exchange Camp’ for college students

On December 21, Gyeonggi Province will be recruiting participants for the ‘College Student International Exchange Camp’ that is being held to improve understanding and invigorate student exchange with Guangdong Province of China.

Any college student interested in China and international exchange can participate in this camp, which will include 20 college students within Gyeonggi Province and 20 college students from Guangdong Province living together in a dormitory. The 2-week camp will run from January 21 to February 3.

The program consists of field trips and themed lectures including the history/culture and economy/industry of Gyeonggi Province and Guangdong Province. In addition, participants will be given time to build friendships through cultural and winter sport activities.

Students who wish to participate can fill out an application form (available via download from the Ajou University homepage announcement section) and submit the completed form via email (dyk@ajou.ac.kr) by December 21 (18:00).

After the application deadline, 20 participants will be selected through application screening and interview process based on foreign language skills and reasons for applying. The entire camp will be free of charge.

This year marks the first exchange camp; next year, the camp is slated to be held in Guangdong Province. Gyeonggi Province plans to operate the camp with 20 college students from each region (a total of 40 students) for 2 years and will gradually expand the scale of the camp.
