Gyeonggi Province will provide a medical coordinator training program for multicultural family members and marriage migrants residing in the province from October 31 to November 4. Medical coordinators connect foreign patients with Korean hospitals and also support the stays and tours of accompanying individuals.

On October 6, Gyeonggi Province announced that it would be recruiting participants for this year’s new medical coordinator training program for multicultural immigrant family members, marriage migrants, and foreign residents who desire to work in the medical coordinator field until October 18.

A total of 70 participants are slated to participate in the new medical coordinator training program at the Gyeonggi Woman Vision Center from October 31 to November 4. Participants who complete the entire training program will receive a certificate.

In addition, 50 Russian, Mongolian, and Chinese medical coordinators who work in the province will have an opportunity to participate in on-going medical coordinator education at the Ramada Plaza Suwon Hotel on October 28. This venue for sharing field experiences as well as project direction for foreign patient attraction during future pandemics was prepared to strengthen medical coordinator networks in the province.
