According to the application results for the 8th Gyeonggi Architecture Culture Award adds up to 39 pieces of art that will go through examination.
-Private purpose architecture category (Jan 1, 2001~Dec. 31, 2002): Structures approved for private use located in Gyeonggi-do
Total of 39 applications submitted from Aug. 1 to the 20th, for the private purpose architecture category has increased by 4 pieces than last year with 13 residences and 26 non-resident submissions.
For a fair selection through Gyeonggi-do’s excellent structures, professionals related with architecture such as professors, architects and technical experts will be chosen by related organs such as the Korea Institute of Registered Architects to judge entries starting on Sept. 3.
Screening is divided into three parts – photograph, panel and then on-site examination. The most superior piece will be awarded with the Gyeonggi Architecture Culture Award.
This competition is expected to be a perfect opportunity to weigh the actual residence and status of Gyeonggi-do structures.
In addition, in the design category where students studying architecture and people working for architectural firms can enter their work will be received for 20 days, from Sept. 20 to Oct. 10, at the Gyeonggi Architectural Hall.

The award for this year’s best structure for both categories will be decided in mid-October and awarding ceremony will take place at the Gyeonggi Small & Medium Business Center on Oct. 31.
