The Pyeongtaek Port has opened an information hall in March 2002. Visitors come every day and their cognition about the port has improved greatly.
According to the announcement made by the port’s Development Support Team which manages the information hall now, a total of 40,000 visitors have already visited, and about 20,000 visitors visiting from January through August this year, has contributed greatly on luring investors.
Most visitors are surprised of the history and future of Pyeongtaek Port they encounter at the hall and recognize the port as the heart of the northeast distribution. Some are convinced that the future of Pyeongtaek Port will have the role as a hub to improve national distribution environment and others acknowledge that the hall has helped induce investors.
Public information on Pyeongtaek Port is not only available on land, but also on the sea. The Pyeongtaek Port Information Ship (55 tons, 75 crewmembers) are receiving positive response from groups of investors and citizens.
The existing Pyeongtaek Port Information Hall is a temporary hall displaying various publicity exhibits and also screens a publicity film. A development model of Pyeongtaek Port and the magnificent spectacle of the Seohae Grand Bridge are also attractions favored by visitors.
The actual Pyeongtaek Port information hall is under construction in Sindang Park located in Poseung Complex and is expected to be completed next time.
