The World Hyo Culture Festival will be held in Suwon and Hwaseong-si, on Sept. 27. 
The World Hyo Culture Festival Committee has announced on Sept. 8, that the purpose of this event is to spread and globalize Hyo culture (filial duty). This event will be held for 9 nines, from Sept. 27 until Oct. 5. 

This festival is sponsored by the Ministry of Culture & Tourism and the Gyeonggi province, and co-hosted by both Suwon and Hwaseong City. Hyo culture will be introduced under the subject ‘Experience and Understanding between Generations’. 

First, under a visual theme ‘Do you know (Hyo)’, the past, present and future of hyo will be displayed in the theme pavilion. Various visual attractions, world hyo culture exhibition, cyber hyo culture and more will be prepared. 

And at the ‘Sounds of Generations and Company’ corner (acoustic), echoes of hyo, world hyo culture research council, ‘Hyo Mock Court’ where children discuss the pros and cons of hyo, hyo culture fusion musical demonstration and more will be prepared for the public. 

At the ‘People & Come’ (touch) corner, various opportunities to experience family culture and courtesy will be arranged as in a Hyo culture experience camp, Best Hyo-students chosen by their school will participate as volunteers providing hyo services and a ‘Scary experience for the Undutiful’ corner where students may experience results to being disobedient to their parents beforehand.
