The World Taekwondo Hawrang Championship 2003 will be held for 9 days starting from Oct. 24. 
The event is an international festival where about 1,000 athletes and officials from about 30 countries are expected to participate. 
The main event is a taekwondo match where high-ranking players from each country compete with martial arts. 
Additional events include taekwondo exhibition games and also a hwarang taekwondo training opportunity for foreigners to experience Korea’s traditional martial art. 
Historical picture exhibition and hwarang clothing will be prepared for spectator. 
This festival is especially important to in showing a new aspect of Korea as the suzerain state of taekwondo by introducing historic sites and relics of taekwondo to foreign officials.
