The industrial technology complex accumulated with universities, enterprises and research centers, 「Gyeonggi Technopark (GTP)」 is expected to reborn as a core organ to foster high-tech industry within the Gyeonggi Province as the provincial governor Hak-kyu Sohn took office as the chief director on Nov. 17.
The governor of Ansan-si, local Members of the National Assembly and company executives have attended the 3rd chief director inauguration. Various measures to support the development of new technology and support technical innovation are undergoing formation throughout about 50 enterprises within the province.
GTP is an industrial technology complex established with a contribution of 88.8 billion Won from 6 universities (0.8 billion Won) and also from the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy, Gyeonggi-do, Ansan-si and other organizations.
Total site is of 30,000 pyeong, which is of the 12,000 pyeong research and production facilities of 4 buildings (Technology Development Center, Pilot Plants (right & left wings), Business Support Center), each with one underground floor and 3 to 10 ground floors. GTP provides One-stop Service for corporate needs of management consulting, opening new markets, venture enterprise establishment, R&D, pilot production, quality guarantee, technical training and other services.
And not to mention, Ansan Research Center of Korea Institute of Industrial Technology, Ansan Industrial Technology Testing Laboratory and other national policy corporations surround GTP. Everything there is to be needed, fusion technology development support, CE, ISO, KS Mark and other quality guarantees from domestic and abroad, are gathered in here. In addition, a infra of the technology R&D of six prominent consortium universities are concentrated around GTP.
