The Director of the Korean Transportation Culture Awareness Reform Association, Soon-gu Park is approved by the Korea Genius Association for collecting about 25,000 public transportation passes. His collection of passes will be on display at the Children Traffic Park in Youngtong, Suwon-si on Dec. 20.
The “3rd Korean Traffic Material Exhibition” will be displaying tickets related with transportation by ground, sea and air.
Items to be on display are passenger tickets of transportation by ground, sea and air for the last 50 years, railroad tickets from about 100 years ago and pictures of the exterior and interior of trains (first public display), the first means of transportation (Sainkyo), North Korean tourist postage stamps and tickets from about 100 foreign countries.
And other tickets include Japanese bread meal tickets, pictures of the Daegu subway accident and also pictures of other transportation accidents, memorial passes to celebrate the opening of subways, fine notices and stickers of violating traffic regulations and others.
As a special exhibition, one of the 800 vehicles used during the Korean war has been restored to be place on display for the first time.
