IT and electronic products manufactured by Gyeonggi Province’s SMBs have captured the attention of Chinese buyers.
The Gyeonggi provincial government participated in CHITEC 2004 held in Beijing, China, from May 22 through 26. The IT and electronic products were welcomed most enthusiastically by Chinese buyers.
On the first night of the CHITEC, CCTV reported the strength of Korea’s IT industry with a clip from the Gyeonggi-do Center at its evening news hour.
This event resulted in the signing of contracts worth $9.1 million and consultations worth $310 million.
A company from Anyang city introduced the world’s first recorder for mobile phones and voice manipulator to the market, and was able to finalize a contract worth $5 million on the spot after a short consultation.
Another company from Uijeongbu presented the public with a height/weight/obesity scale for testing, and a 10m- line extended in front of its kiosk throughout the event.
One company who first made its advancement into the Chinese market through CHITEC stated, “The Chinese market suits the province’s SMBs better than markets in developed countries. Aggressive consultation efforts lead to the very satisfying result.”
