Fund (KRW25 million) collected at Peace Festival donated to Eugene Bell Foundation 

To be spent to help treat tuberculosis patients in North Korea 

It is reported that a sum of KRW25 million collected at the Peace Festival held near the DMZ last summer (i.e. August 1 through September 11) will be donated to the Eugene Bell Foundation (EBF). 

Gyeonggi Governor Sohn Hak-kyu will deliver the money to Auditor Lee Se-bok of the Eugene Bell Foundation at the Gyeonggi Province-sponsored Festival for Peace and Hopes 2006 held at the Imjingak Pavilion near the DMZ. 

The money, which was collected from through voluntary donations in 2005, will be spent to help treat tuberculosis patients in North Korea. 

The EBF, a humanitarian relief organization that has specialized in providing medical assistance to North Korea since 1995, now focus on provision of assistance to tuberculosis treatments facilities, particularly in the northwestern areas, including Pyeongyang and Nampo.
