The Gyeonggi-do government held a full-scale investment presentation in the presence of CEOs of foreign companies in Korea and foreign diplomats and agents, at the Hyatt Hotel in Seoul (May 16, 6PM) to induce investment of foreign enterprises.

A DVD, showing the provincial governor, Sohn, Hakkyu’s efforts and promotion activities for the past 4 years, touring 15 times around the world to attract foreign investment, will be shown. His difficulties and success story has highlighted the occasion.

An English presentation introducing Gyeonggi-do’s excellent investment environment and high-tech investment inducement results was shown after the DVD. The English presentation was planned to explain the development and vision of Gyeonggi-do’s industry, culture and other fields, thus emphasizing on the province’s investment value.

Ambassadors or commercial agents from England, France, Austria, Spain, Lebanon, Australia, Malaysia, and Dominica, and CEOs from Tel Korea, Korea Airtech Corp., KOTECH, ANC Co., Ltd, Daewoo, Borg Warner Turbo Systems, Towoo, Top Business Consultants Service, Inc., and many more representatives from about 150 companies and groups has participated this investment presentation event. Representatives from the Incheon Metropolitan City and the Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone Authority have also attended for benchmarking purposes.

The reason why many are interested in Gyeonggi-do’s investment presentation is because the province government made the most out of its geographical features regardless of the limitations of being in a Metropolitan area. Infra of human and material resources are evenly spread out and Governor Sohn’s strategy in inducing high-tech enterprises is at a high swing.

Governor Sohn is known as a model CEO to many executives because of his painful but successful activities in making business trips to Japan, America and Europe countries for a total of 98 days.

The celebration performance for the 105th investment was also held with famous vocalists and groups of performers.

For an hour from 6PM to 7PM, Governor Sohn held a news conference in the Namsan Room at the Hyatt Hotel. He described the process of how he induced the 105th investment and also the purpose of holding the investment presentation.
